Central Registration

It's easy to register to enroll your children in Mankato Area Public Schools

Central Registration makes it easy and convenient to complete school registration forms.  Families can register more than one child at a time on the same form, helping to simplify registration.

The process is easy - complete the forms listed below and return them to the Central Registration Office in the Intergovernmental Center, 10 Civic Center Plaza.

Protection and Privacy of Pupil Records
Home Language Survey (one for each child)
Transportation form- to be filled out at the time of Registration.
Release of records  (one for each child)
Food Service Application 18-19
Health census form (one for each child)

Required for Registration 

Proof of Legal Name & Birth date- (Ex: Birth certificate -Passport-or I94)
Student’s immunization records- Required
Proof of Residency-Required-( Ex: Home -Lease Agreement, Utility bill)
Student Records, transcript, Special Education IEP, summary evaluation report 


Additional Requirements for Kindergarten registration
Kindergarten Registration Fall 2018

Early Childhood Screening, or results of the Early Childhood Screening if not completed by ISD 77.

In Minnesota, children are eligible to attend kindergarten when they are five-years-old on or before September 1 of the calendar year that schools starts. View Minnesota Statutes section 120A.20.

If you are not planning on sending your child to kindergarten or need to schedule an Early Childhood Screening appointment, please call 507-207-4037.

Records requests for students that are no longer attending Mankato district should be sent to the Central Registration office.

The registration procedure provides census data about school-age children and preschoolers to Mankato Area Public Schools. This census information is critical to the enrollment projections process and is also used to notify parents of early childhood screenings and kindergarten registration
