OVERVIEW
In Mankato Area Public Schools, we use our social media channels to share the many exciting things happening in our schools. Social media users can expect to see news, upcoming events, school activities, and more published on our social media channels. Each channel will have a unique focus bringing you information about MAPS.
Whether you are a student, staff member, a MAPS alumni, a local businessperson, a parent, a grandparent, or simply a follower of the Mankato Area Public Schools, we welcome your ideas and feedback to improve our social media presence.
ONLINE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
By interacting with any of our school or district social media channels or pages, you agree to the following:
- Mankato Area Public School maintains a limited public forum in its comment sections and reserves the right to review and delete any user content that violates School Board policies or state and federal law. Such content may include, but is not limited to, user content that is defamatory, threatening, profane, vulgar, obscene, harassing, or abusive.
- Mankato Area Public Schools reserves the right to remove user content that is deemed off-topic to any particular post.
- User content will not contain any software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of “spam.”
- User content will be accurate and will not violate any applicable law, policy, regulation, or guideline.
- User content will not violate any right of a third party including, without limitation, copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights, and will not cause injury to any person or entity.
- Users are solely responsible for the content they submit, and Mankato Area Public Schools assumes no liability for any user content submitted. Users agree to indemnify Mankato Area Public Schools against all claims and liabilities resulting from their content.
- Mankato Area Public Schools may ban any user from posting or commenting on any Mankato Area Public Schools’ social media accounts or pages for a pattern of inappropriate postings, or as otherwise deemed necessary by Mankato Area Public Schools.
- For any content submitted, users grant Mankato Area Public Schools a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, sell, and distribute such user content. This includes incorporating such user content in any form, medium, or technology throughout the world, all without compensation.
Abuse of the above guidelines can lead to blocking or removal from any of our accounts on any platform.
