The foundation of Mankato Area Public Schools rests on the idea that all students can thrive academically, paired with a commitment to meeting the needs of individual students.  Consistently rated as one of the top public school districts in Minnesota, the Mankato Area Public Schools provide all students with a rigorous and comprehensive academic experience, complemented by an extensive array of opportunities in the arts, activities and athletics.

Our responsibility is to provide the world-class education that will empower them to hone their gifts and develop the skills they need to pursue the future that calls them.We serve approximately 8,478 students in grades K-12 who come to us from over 140 square miles, encompassing three counties and five cities. With a growing student population, our students attend one of ten elementary schools (grades K-5), two middle schools (grades 6-8) and three high schools (grades 9-12). In addition, our birth-to-five Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program serves families and children during the most critical early developmental years.
