K-5 Literacy
Mankato Area Public Schools' (MAPS) Elementary Literacy Framework develops students' ability to read, write, listen, speak, view and exchange ideas, so students build skills for lifelong success as effective critical consumers and skilled producers of ideas.
MAPS Elementary Literacy Framework identifies the components of instruction and school practices that drive successful student outcomes. Minnesota state statutes inform literacy practices, including Read Well by 3rd Grade, World's Best Workforce, and the English Language Arts Academic Standards. MAPS is committed to excellence in all aspects of literacy.
