Every day, students walk through the doors of Mankato Area Public Schools filled with talent, dreams, and enormous potential. Our responsibility is to provide the world-class education that will empower them to hone their gifts and develop the skills they need to pursue the future that calls them.

The belief that all students can and will learn in concert with an unwavering commitment to meeting the needs of ALL students is the lynchpin of the Mankato Area Public Schools. Consistently rated as one of the top public school districts in Minnesota, the Mankato Area Public Schools provide all students with a rigorous and comprehensive academic experience, complemented by an extensive array of opportunities in the arts, activities and athletics.

Our responsibility is to provide the world-class education that will empower them to hone their gifts and develop the skills they need to pursue the future that calls them.

We serve approximately 8,478 students in grades K-12 who come to us from over 140 square miles, encompassing three counties and five cities. With a growing student population, our students attend one of ten elementary schools (grades K-5), two middle schools (grades 6-8) and three high schools (grades 9-12). In addition, our birth-to-five Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program serves families and children during the most critical early developmental years.
