Multilingual and English Learners

As a team, we support Multilingual learners as they attain English proficiency and achieve state academic content standards and English Langauge Development (ELD)standards.  We provide professional development opportunities for staff on ELD standards, supporting Multilingual students, best practices, and culturally responsible teaching.

Multilingual Learner programming is to ensure English Learners are competent in the listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing of the English language in all content areas. We support academic language development and academic achievement for English learners through quality and research-based curriculum, instruction, professional development, and parent involvement.

We provide notification letters and Individual Language Plans for each student. Student-specific language goals, assessment results, and programming service descriptions and minutes are provided. We provide Parent Circles and resource opportunities throughout the year, connecting parents to educational opportunities and parent engagement events.

Our counselors and home school liaisons work with students on college planning, personal awareness, and academic preparedness.

School staff are dedicated to offering support and guidance to ensure that every student feels heard and empowered in their educational journey.
