Special Dietary Needs

According to the U.S Department of Agriculture's National School Lunch Program, School Nutrition Services is required to adhere to specific federal regulations in accommodating special diets for students enrolled in Mankato Area Public Schools.

Special Diet Form
Special Diet Guidance

The above form is appropriate for:
  • Food Allergies
In the case of a milk allergy, we offer a nutritionally equivalent replacement of soy milk.
  • Medically Documented Celiac Disease or Gluten Intolerance
If your child has celiac disease or gluten intolerance and we have received the above Special Diet Statement for your child with a physician's signature, your child is able to receive gluten free foods. Our gluten free menu is planned each month to resemble the normal lunch menu as closely as possible.
  • Disabilities or Medical Conditions
Participant has a disability or medical condition that requires a special meal or dietary accommodation.
Lactose Intolerance
In cases of lactose intolerance we do accept a note from a parent to provide lactose-free milk.
